Description: Deputy Sheriff Ray suffered a fatal heart attack while working at a DUI checkpoint. The officers working at the checkpoint issued 35 citations and arrested a suspect. While actively working the DUI checkpoint, Deputy Ray collapsed and struck his head on the curb. He was transported to a local hospital where he remained in a coma until his death three days later.
