Description: Officer Ryan responded to a report of a man sleeping in a car, woke the man and asked for ID. As Officer Ryan walked back to his patrol car, he was shot by the suspect, who turned out to be a small time drug dealer with an outstanding arrest warrant. The suspect took Officer Ryan?s gun and fled the scene. In the massive manhunt that followed, Officer Tim Jones' police dog, Laser, picked up the suspect?s trail and tracked him to a fish house where he was hiding. The suspect fatally shot Officer Jones through the window with Officer Ryan's gun. The suspect ran out, grabbed Officer Jones' gun and killed Laser when the dog bit his leg. The suspect was arrested later that day. He pleaded guilty and is serving two life sentences without parole.
