Description: Agente Rosa-Ortiz was struck and killed while en route to department mandated training in her personal vehicle. While driving to training, Agente Rosa-Ortiz's vehicle broke down. She was then rear-ended by another vehicle. Agent Rosa-Ortiz's vehicle became engulfed in flames. Agent Rosa-Ortiz died inside the vehicle. Per the Department, Agente Rosa-Ortiz was in an on-duty status while en route to training in her personal vehicle, but was not reimbursed for gas mileage.
