Description: While en route to an accident investigation, Deputy Roberts' motorcycle was struck by another vehicle. He struck a utility pole and was severely injured. Deputy Roberts spent nearly three weeks in the intensive care unit and underwent numerous surgical procedures, including amputation of both legs, before he died.
