Description: Agents Rodriquez and Salinas responded to a call for assistance from the local Sheriff's Department. Suspect wanted for double homicide was believed to be hiding in wooded area. As Agents Rodriquez and Salinas blocked off area and searched for suspect, he exited a cornfield and began firing at both agents and all other law enforcement officers. Agents Salinas and Rodriquez were killed with a semi-automatic assault rifle and bullets that penetrated their body armor.
