Description: Patrolman Redden was shot in the head, arm and leg and severely wounded by a bomb during a labor dispute that became known as the Haymarket Riot. Patrolman Redden died two weeks later of his injuries. Patrolmen George Miller, Michael Sheehan, John J. Barrett, Nels Hansen, Timothy O?Sullivan, Timothy Flavin and Mathias Degan were also killed as a result of this riot.
