Description: Officer Rodriquez was one of three lawmen shot and wounded while attempting to serve an arrest warrants on three suspects wanted for smuggling. It was dark when the officers attempted to enter the residence. The suspects inside opened fire and wounded the three lawmen. Officer Rodriquez was shot in the arm and back and died four days later. The other officers survived.
