Description: Patrolman Rouse and his partner stopped a vehicle thought to be used in an armed robbery of a motel. One robber opened fire striking both officers. Patrolman Rouse died at the scene but his partner survived. The robber pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
