Description: Constable Reed was shot and killed as he and several other lawmen conducted a raid at a restaurant. The restaurant owner was suspected of bootlegging, smuggling and extortion, among other illegal activities. Constable Reed was shot in the abdomen as he entered the restaurant through the front door. City Marshal Doug Robinson returned fire, killing the suspect.
