Description: Deputy Sheriff Rogers was killed in a train derailment accident while searching for a wanted suspect. Deputy Rogers and several other deputies had boarded the Texas and Pacific Railway train to search for the wanted suspect. The train derailed three miles west of Marshall, Texas. Deputy Rogers was thrown from the train and killed instantly.
