Description: Deputy Roberts was killed in an automobile accident while transporting a prisoner from Texas to Nebraska to face child desertion charges. While traveling in rainy conditions, Deputy Roberts's patrol car left the roadway and overturned several times striking a telephone pole. Deputy Roberts died at the scene of the accident.
