Description: Detective Suiter was shot on November 15, 2017, while attempting to interview a suspect during a homicide investigation. Detective Suiter encountered a man engaging in suspicious activity. Detective Suiter approached the suspect, a struggle ensued, and the suspect produced a handgun and fired. Detective Suiter was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on November 16, 2017. The suspect fled the scene.
