Description: Officer Stevens was shot and killed during a traffic stop in a rural area of Yolo County. When Officer Stevens approached the vehicle and greeted the driver, he was shot and killed. A passing motorist who witnessed the incident called for emergency assistance. Officer Stevens was pronounced dead at the scene.
