Description: Investigator Sapinoso was shot and killed by a suspect he had arrested earlier in a domestic disturbance incident involving Investigator Sapinoso's sister. As Investigator Sapinoso arrived home, the suspect ambushed him, took his weapon and held him and his father, Antonio, hostage. After two hours the suspect told negotiators that he was coming out the house but then, without warning, shot the father and Investigator Sapinoso several times in the head with his own gun. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
