Description: PST Shaw was dispatched to investigate a traffic accident. PST Shaw had just placed a caution sign in the left lane and was walking back to the accident scene. A tractor-trailer was unable to stop or slow down on the wet pavement and crashed into the PST vehicle which in turn crashed into PST Shaw. He suffered multiple serious injuries, a major head wound and was paralyzed from the neck down. PST Shaw died in the intensive care unit three weeks later.
