Description: Officer Strouse was shot and killed when he and two other officers investigated a call of gang-related gunfire in the Pilsen area of the city. A 16 year old juvenile opened fire on Officer Strouse. The juvenile continued firing at Officer Strouse, who was in plain clothes, even after he identified himself as an officer of the law.
