Description: Deputy Sheriff Sleeper collapsed and died of a heart attack after arresting an aggressive suspect. Deputy Sleeper responded to a call to assist a fellow deputy with a motor vehicle pursuit. The deputies had a physical struggle with the suspect who was resisting arrest, which forced them to use an electronic immobilization device to subdue the suspect. Deputy Sleeper collapsed after handcuffing the suspect. Deputy Sleeper was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
