Description: Patrolman Smith was shot by a suspect he had previously arrested for public intoxication. When the suspect was released from jail, he told the officers that he had a Winchester at home and that he would get it and kill them. Patrolman Smith returned to his beat. Less than an hour later, the suspect approached Patrolman Smith and shot him. Patrolman Smith was able to confirm the identity of his attacker before he died.
