Description: Sergeant Shaw suffered a fatal heart attack hours after responding to the scene of a crash. Sergeant Shaw responded to the scene of a crash with lights and siren activated. Upon arriving at the crash, he discovered that one of the drivers had a warrant out for his arrest. Sergeant Shaw arrested the suspect and continued to process the scene before transporting the suspect to jail. Sergeant Shaw then reported to his assigned post at a local school where he assisted with security and traffic control. Sergeant Shaw collapsed later that day and was transported to a hospital where he died.
