Description: Disturbance call (person with gun). Acting on a tip, Deputy Sheriffs Slaughter and Manning went to a residence north of Archer in Alachua County, where persons known to be illegally carrying pistols were attending a party. When challenged, three or more subjects opened fire on the deputies. Slaugher died but Manning survived.
