Description: Officer Sobieski was killed when his patrol car was struck from behind by a drunk driver. Officer Sobieski had just issued a summons and was parked on the shoulder of Highway 290, when a pickup slammed into the back of his 1999 Crown Victoria. The patrol unit exploded with Officer Sobieski inside.
