Description: On March 25, 2005, ATSAIC Smith suffered a heart attack after completing a three mile run as part of his approved and mandatory physical fitness training. Agent Smith collapsed in the elevator of the Field Office located in Atlanta, Georgia. Agent Smith sustained permanent brain damage as a result of the heart attack and remained in a comatose state until his death on December 27, 2007.
