Description: Corporal Searcy succumbed to a gunshot wound received while responding to a call of an aggravated assault. The suspect was attempting to strike pedestrians with a vehicle. When Corporal Searcy arrived at the scene, the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot him twice. The suspect was shot and killed by another deputy. Corporal Searcy was transported a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds two days later.
