Description: Deputy Marshal Stokley was shot and killed while attempting to arrest a suspect for robbery near Atoka, Indian Territory. As Marshal Stokley attempted to arrest the suspect he was shot five times with a pistol. The suspect was tracked down and killed by Marshal Stokley's posse.
