Description: Deputies Stelling and Crawford responded to a local business where a suspect with a shotgun was creating a disturbance. After locating the armed suspect, Deputy Stelling instructed the suspect to drop his weapon. The suspect shot Deputy Stelling twice before Deputy Crawford returned fire and killed the suspect. Deputy Stelling's arm had to be amputated. He underwent several blood transfusions before his death four days later.
