Description: Assistant Chief Stuart was shot while responding to call of shots fired at a saloon. Chief Stuart was shot as he stepped through the saloon door. Chief Stuart returned fire, wounding the suspect, before he died. The suspect also shot two other men, killing one. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
