Description: Officer Stroud was shot while attempting to stop a robbery in progress in a butcher shop. Officer Stroud, who was off-duty, identified himself as an officer and was fired upon. He returned fire and was shot in the head by one of the suspects. His assailant shot him in the head a second time at point-blank range.
