Description: Deputy Singleton and three deputies stopped to help a woman calling for assistance. The deputies went to her aid and were met with gunfire by an intoxicated man. Deputy Singleton was shot in the chest and leg. The deputies returned fire and shot the suspect four times. Deputy Singleton was rushed to the hospital where he died two weeks later due to the irreparable damage caused to his lung. The suspect was charged with murder.
