Description: Deputy Salter died after being involved in a single-car accident while transporting two prisoners. Deputy Salter's cruiser struck an oil patch on U.S. Route 1 and flipped over three times. A second deputy's cruiser also flipped when it struck the same oil patch as he responded to assist Deputy Salter.
