Description: Sergeant Smith was struck and killed while responding to a fight/riot at a local nightclub. While responding with emergency lights activated, Sergeant Smith's department motorcycle was fatally struck by a vehicle being operated by an intoxicated driver. Sergeant Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver fled from the area but was later arrested and charged with vehicular homicide.
