Description: Sergeant Sullivan was on patrol and was approached by an individual who attacked him without provocation. Sergeant Sullivan was killed by numerous hatchet blows to the head. It was later determined that the murder was premeditated. The suspect told friends he was out "to kill a cop." Per witnesses, suspect was a known drug abuser.
