Description: Patrolman Stewart succumbed to gunshot wounds he received after taking police action while off-duty. Patrolman Stewart and another officer were in San Antonio, Texas for Army National Guard training when three armed suspects attempted to rob them. Patrolman Stewart fought with one of the suspects who shot him as he fled. Patrolman Stewart was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries one week later.
