Description: Marshal Swanson was shot and critically wounded while investigating a burglary. Marshal Swanson had stopped the prime suspect's car to question him about the burglary when the suspect shot him in the leg and the back which penetrated his abdomen. Marshal Swanson wore a body cast and remained under a doctor's care until his death four months later.
