Description: Captain Strauss and Sergeant Haney responded to an emergency call where a fire was out of control at a local residence. As Captain Strauss stepped out of the patrol vehicle, he was struck and killed by a responding fire truck. Captain Strauss was struck with such extreme force that his wedding ring was missing from his hand. Captain Strauss was pronounced dead at the scene.
