Description: Patrolman Steinfeldt was shot and killed while responding to a fight at a local gas station. The suspect had already shot and killed one man. After arriving first on the scene, Patrolman Steinfeldt was shot as he exited his patrol car. Fellow officers arriving on the scene shot the suspect and took him into custody. Patrolman Steinfeldt was transported to the Methodist Medical Center in Dallas where he succumbed to his wounds.
