Description: Officer Scarborough and Officer J. Byrd arrested a man for public intoxication and disturbing the peace. Although the suspect was searched and handcuffed, the suspect had a second weapon. The suspect shot both officers from the back seat. Officer Scarborough was shot in the head and died while en route to the hospital. The suspect was shot and wounded by Officer Byrd.
