Description: Sheriff Steadman was shot as he attempted to search a suspect before placing him under arrest for car theft. The suspect had already been searched by troopers but the gun hidden in his sock was somehow overlooked. The suspect fled but was caught by a posse. He was tried in a court of law, found guilty and electrocuted.
