Description: Deputy Sewell was transporting two prisoners to the Oklahoma State Reformatory. When Deputy Sewell removed his coat, one of the prisoners grabbed his weapon and shot him three times with his own gun. His body was dumped in a field as the prisoners made their escape. The two prisoners, age 20 and 17 respectively, were captured.
