Description: Trooper Sauter was killed in an automobile crash. Trooper Sauter’s patrol vehicle was parked on the left shoulder of the highway when a semi-truck rear ended his vehicle. Both vehicles burst into flames. Trooper Sauter was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was cited.
