Description: Officer Spignesi and other officers were checking a possible illegal deer hunter in a remote location. The illegal deer hunter fired a single shot which struck Officer Spignesi, killing him instantly. Illegal hunter suspect was identified as an off duty state corrections officer, who has been charged with second degree manslaughter. Shooting has been ruled accidental.
