Description: Officer Sell was shot and killed during a traffic stop. Law enforcement authorities were searching for the suspect in connection with an assault that had occurred in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The suspect eluded a nationwide manhunt for 1,400 miles and two days before Officer Sell stopped him for a traffic violation. The suspect shot Officer Sell once in the arm and twice in the head as he approached the suspect?s vehicle.
