Description: Deputy Schwartz was shot and killed while transporting two prisoners to the Fremont County Jail. Deputy Schwartz was found lying face down in front of his wrecked patrol car. He had been shot several times in the head. During the police search for the suspects, who were twin brothers, three additional officers were shot and critically wounded. One of those officers, Corporal Toby Bethel was shot in the back and paralyzed from the waist down.
