Description: Corporal Sampietro was struck and killed while investigating an accident on Interstate 44. Corporal Sampietro and the department's Major Crash Investigation Team were investigating an earlier accident with multiple fatalities when a motorist driving an SUV struck him. Corporal Sampietro was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
