Description: Officer Samra was struck and killed by a suspect who had recently been released from prison. Officer Samra initiated the traffic stop on the suspect driver who fled the scene after Officer Samra was off his motorcycle. While stopped at a stop sign, the suspect, traveling at approximately 50 mph, intentionally rammed Officer Samra's motorcycle. Officer Samra was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
