Description: Patrolman Sevick was shot and killed by a suspect he had arrested. Prior to the trial someone had slipped the suspect a weapon when he was transported to the courthouse. Patrolman Sevick was seated in the courtroom preparing to testify against the suspect when the suspect produced the weapon and fatally shot him. Patrolman Sevick died at the scene.
