Description: On March 1, 1937, Police Officer Scanlon was severely injured when the patrol wagon he was riding in stopped suddenly. Officer Scanlon was propelled forward and thrown to the pavement. Officer Scanlon was hospitalized for two months. Officer Scanlon suffered a fatal hemorrhage five months later on August 23, 1937.
