Description: Detective Sheridan and Officer Shelberg received a tip that the saloon would be burglarized that evening. The detectives set up surveillance and after several hours observed three men behaving in a suspicious manner. Officer Shelberg followed one of the men who left the scene while Detective Sheridan confronted the other two men. Detective Sheridan was shot and killed as he attempted to make an arrest.
