Description: Officer Sowa and his partner responded to a domestic disturbance call and questioned complainant. As officers entered residence, suspect opened fire on both officers with a .223 Rifle. Officer Sowa was killed and his partner, Patricia Cocciolone, was critically wounded. Both officers were wearing their vest but the assault bullets penetrated the panels.
