Description: Deputy Constable Stark and Constable J. Keltner were en route to serve a warrant for the arrest of a suspect who was wanted for horse theft. The suspect was a member of a group of outlaws that had been terrorizing Southwest Grayson County. While the Constables were about to mount their horses, someone fired on them. Deputy Stark was shot in the head and died instantly.
