Description: Sheriff Sparks and Police Officer C. B. Graves were executing a raid on an apartment known for selling illegal liquor. As Sheriff Sparks entered the front door, the suspect opened fire. Sheriff Sparks was able to return fire before dying. The suspect was also fatally shot.
